Hotchoclate

British Shorthair & Selkirk Rex kittens

F.A.Q

Kittens are 13 weeks old when they leave home and will be registered/vaccinated/wormed and litter trained,  also 6 weeks free insurance.

Kittens are on the non-active register, not for breeding purposes. loving pet homes only!

you will be required to have the kitten neutered/spayed by the time they are 7 months.(click here to see kitten sale agreement)

If you are interested in one of our babies then tell us about yourself, our goal is to match the right kitten with the right family

We are happy to take a non refundable deposit prior to seeing the kitten but do ask you to collect the kitten in person. we prefer kittens go to pet homes only.

A kitten is not reserved without a deposit, deposits are taken in good faith and are non-refundable, we have the right to refuse a sale at anytime and refund the deposit.  cheques accepted but only if sent 10 days before collection to allow time to clear.

We have exported but only by collection in person, we are happy to arrange to meet you at the airport or ferry terminal and will have all the papers/jabs and passport needed to travel. you will need to bring your own travel basket that meet the requirements for travel etc.

You can see kittens at 10 weeks old once they have had thier first vaccination and weaned from their mum, Visitors put unvaccinated kittens at risk of infection/disease or possible rejection from their mother. our priority is for happy healthy mother and kittens! we home kittens to the right home so giving us some info about you ie times you work, other pets and family members and the ages helps place them correctly. photo's and updates are sent while they grow.

please do not put kittens at risk by going to other breeders on the same day, allow 48hrs

Appointments are great time to meet me and vice versa, also see kitty!. its nice to ask some questions and cat chat, some appointments that are 15 minutes soon turn into an hour so be prepared. we do politely ask you to try and keep to your time as it is not uncommon for us to have 5 families around seeing the whole litter on one day, fitting you all in works well if times are kept, we have had the odd families that do run into unavoidable delay and we do understand that but we may have to cut your visit short if we have arranged to go out or have it at the same time as the next family. if you have photo's of other pet members please bring them along, its lovely knowing who's going to be our kittens play mates.

If you want to meet the breed to see if this is the cat for you

and your family, then why not pop along to a local cat show, between 1pm and 4pm. contact me and i can give you the venue name and date close to you.

Your appointment will involve seeing your kitten and the parents, because we cannot show you the cattery we thought you might like to see photo's below, you can see our other cats on the pages above. our new dog who we got age 18 months does not like strangers due to his previous life, bless him. our dogs will be kept in the garden while you visit for your peace of mind and stress free for them, as you will see its not really a cattery just a large enclosed cat garden with 3  runs. the girls love sun bathing on the deck and a chance to explore and watch the birds.

below is the cats parlour at the rear of our house leading to cats garden via cat flap which is shut at night as not to keep the neighbours awake with the cats howling at the moon, bless them.

Please consider carefully before bringing a kitten into your home, as this is a life time commitment.

please email for list of food and litter you will need to buy in ready for your new kitten.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, we look forward to hearing from you.
